I am not your mother so I can’t tell you what to do. I personally don’t think it’s weird but it depends on how young we are talking. My hard limit is 18-19 because why would you have something in common with someone that just graduated from high school? Ask yourself some serious questions if you do.

To me it has always sounded like straight manipulation, preying on someone who has no life experience is ultra bizarre.

You’re 50, dating someone half your age isn’t that strange. Looking younger doesn’t change much because you’ll want to connect on more than just attractiveness. I always assume that these kind of relationships have an expiry date though, one of you will grow out of it if you will…

Half your age, I can't really say much, half is 25. At least the brain has fully developed. School should be done, and startting into a career. The creepiness kind of sets in if you knew them as children, and/or if you prevent them from their natural life progression to be fast forwarded to the stage you are at life.
Ex: her plan, focus on work, just finished school, married by 30, kids after marriage,
Your plan, you've waited 30 years already, and are already 50, don't want to wait till you're 55 before having your first rugrat. Marry her ASAP, to fast track her waiting plan. Get her out of the partying life, and home with kids, never mind it interferes with her career plan as well, preventing her from developing a professional reputation before needing to give it all up to be a stay at home mom.
(It is an average example of mindset, not saying that it is yours, and not criticizing them or you either, we all live life our way and shouldn't have to feel judged for it when it is amongst consenting adults.)

There is also the girls who truely do like an older man, call it daddy issues if you want to give it a title, but it doesn't have to be viewed as a bad thing, could just be they like older men with no reason, and well, of course they are looking for the cool dad type, they want a man who they hope will take care of them and protect them. Not their dad, but someone who makes them feel safe like a parent does, or should. I admit I fall under this myself, just not as wide an age gap, he's 7 yrs older.

LoL. I get what you mean by they find you cool. Do keep in mind that is our word and says how we see they see us. (Yes I have reasons I say us, I have life expierience stories, being the cool-mom, keeping in mind next line is not something i would say in front of them.)

And now a comment that would make my kids cringe in embarrassment. : You have RIZ with the young ladies, (If you cringed, keep in mind that just shows you, we are in different places in our lives to them.) you are accomplished, and are interesting to them. Are you able to keep up with the social requirements a lady in her 20's often requires of her partner? Or will you require her to miss out on living her youth, and grow up to your stage in life?

Thanks for your reply. Kids would be nice but I don't want to rush anyone through their youth. I'm at an age when sitting with my dog is the best thing in the world. I don't want to go to every concert/event. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade.

I would have had kids a long time ago, but I got caught up in a career and just thought about advancing and salaries. I wouldn't change it, but I do like the family life. I guess age isn't as important as meeting like minded people. There are women of all ages who would like a family. I find it hard to meet someone older than 30. It feels like many are in serious relationships.

I don't think I give off cool dad vibes but i can't tell. I have never dated any women who looked at me as a mentor or a protector. When that happens, I think there is a power dynamic which shouldn't be taken advantage of.

Haaa the age old question older men younger women, which applies to older women going for younger men.

What age gap are we talking about and of course my recent experience with this, i am 48 now and a young 30y old women was transfered to my departement, she gave me all the signs, long glance, eye contact, feet and body being turned toward me when we talk, pupils dialated and more she even looked at my private parts a few times.

It all depends on your maturity, some older man are immature some older men are more mature, for me everything went to hell when I started talking to her and saw how weird she was, recently separated, getting tattoos finding her identity and learning that after her break up she was in an open relationship with a guy that had 7 women. She was also immature for her age and i saw absolutely no benefit for me in dating her plus we work togheter.

There are 3 kind of younger women in this situation.

First is the young women who would never date a man 2-3 years older than her, and as absolutely no attraction toward older men.

Second is the young women who tires of young men and wants to experiment and have sex with an older guy, to see how much amazing he would make love to her and make her feel

The third kind is the young women who is ready to commit and is tired of the young men who party all the time, who are not serious and would go for older.

Now at 50 i surely hope you have enough maturity to filter through all of this and see if the younger women wants a sugar daddy, just some fun, or something serious, what if she wants kids and get married are you ready to commit to this.

As for me i am out of the grid and decided to save money and i don't go on dates anymore etc. but that is a personal choice. I had enough of dating all togheter and decied to move on something else.

I was only pointing out 2 opposite extremes, there is always every shade of Grey between the 2. I don't believe in judging others for what they desire as long as it is consenting adults. If I were to shame you for 25 yrs, then I would be a hypocrite as I have clients even younger who contact me looking for a MILF. But don't kid yourself. You are the DILF without kids in this senario. She/they are very likely attracted to you. And likely could/do want to try and relationship. But there will always be a power imbalance when there is an age gap, it's just choosing not to acknowledge or abuse it in the end for health age gap relationships.

Speaking for yourself. For some of us that power dynamic is the turn-on, and is required for the relationship to be what makes it work.

He is 60. It ended after 10 months. I think it was more of a FWB relationship as I saw it.
He came to his senses as he realized that it was too much. Not saying it does not work for some couples. I’m sure there are plenty with a huge age gap. He did like the sex though.

This is my personal experience i went online (not saying all women are like this please bare with me) but all i met were women with huge baggage, i was online for about a year at 46 when i separated from my ex.

The have kids, do you want to get into a relationship with a women who has kids? some have adult kids do they still live at home? I am very active for my age not extreme but i really like to go hiking, etc, all women i chatted had pains here and there and did not want to do anything a part watch tv. A lot of them were also on anti depressant drugs which means no sex drive.

I am not suprise your friend who is 60 had a short run. All the people at work who are online meet weirdos, and its not only men, the women at work also quit online because it too weird.
