Yep. I wish him well. Covid 19 is really testing the EU experiment. Brexit may prove to have been important in saving Briton's NHS. Regardless of what one thinks about Boris, I would gladly grab a pint with him over fish and chips in a London pub.

I used to be a news junkie, now I'm back to my old habits because of the "stay-at-home" mandates.

I'm baffled by what appears to be a disproportionate numbers of fatalities in Italy from Covid 19. (I believe the numbers from China are absolutely bogus. Germany's numbers might be the most accurate but Germany too suffers from inadequate testings.)

US numbers are also problematic. WP is reporting today.

Francois Legault just announced that the lockdown will extend till May 4. He cannot keep people prisoners like this forever. There has to be a balance between security and freedom. They are beginning to cross the line.

Japan is preparing to declare a state of emergency & quasi-lockdown on Tuesday. As usual, Japanese laws r kinda confusing. Technically european style lockdowns r not legal but they’ll probably go ahead anyway but just call it something else.

The Japanese hv been trying to sweep the coronavirus under the rug but despite their huge number of hospital beds (possibly the highest per capita in the world), their hospitals r on the verge of being overwhelmed.

All the more reason why most people keep a 6 foot social distance/preferably with a wall in between/ from tigers and lions.

C500 if humans are let out of their cages too soon we`ll see a second wave like in China , Singapore, and Japan. Then you`ll be locked up till an effective vaccine comes on stream.

Don't be too surprised if this lasts well into the summer....possibly August or September. If not more. Also expect a second and possibly a third wave of the virus to show up once the numbers have been considerably been brought down & people will feel confident to go out again.

As Dr Fauci said a couple of weeks ago: the virus decides its own timeline.

This particular coronavirus came from an animal so it's not entirely surprising to see it infect animals also since all it wants is a warm body to live in. Unfortunately for the virus people die so the virus ends up dying with that body that it has infected. But the virus loves asymptomatic people!

Be careful when you feel like petting someone else's pet. You just don't know.

Calm down guys. Export will keep going. The 3M situation is tricky. The company responded that closing export to Canada and Latin America would only lead to produce fewer deliveries to the USA. Why? Because part of their fabric comes from Canada and Latin-America. I am sure they already negotiate to actually send more fabric and raw material to 3M so they can produce more.
