Possibly fake news, however several years ago a friend who is a gynaecologist relayed a similar story. However the couple had a middle class life and cégep education.
The reason for only doing anal intercourse was due to vaginism, or painful vaginal intercourse of unknown origin. They remained childless, in spite of tons of therapy. The husband got fed up and left his wife 10 years after.

When I was in high school I had a teacher from India that taught us sex ed. He told us that when a person is married one day the wife would have child by miraculous intervention. Some of the boys ( 13-14 years old ) told him the actual way it was done. He became very angry and told us that this is not true. The amazing thing was that he was married and had children.
