So Alberta voted to stay in Canada but voted yes to 8 out of 9 questions
- Yes to more provincial control over immigration
- Yes to limiting taxpayer programs by immigration status
- Yes to a 12 month residency rule before social supports
- Yes to fees for non-permanent residents using healthcare and education
- Yes to proof of citizenship to vote
- Yes to provinces picking their own judges
- Yes to abolishing the senate
- Yes to provincial laws overriding Ottawa in shared areas
That is yes to 8 areas out of 9 areas but you can see that immigration is a big issue. Many are not down with mass uncontrolled immigration. See what is happening in France that is Canada's future. Canada going the same route with having a high cost of living and stagnant wages. Anyone that understand the most basic law of economics, the law of supply and demand. By importing the third world in mass you greatly increase demand and the labor pool all that is great for millionaires and billionaires but very bad for the average joe working a job. Quebec is next, Plamondon has said the same thing about the results of mass immigration and he is not wrong. Quebecors in general also want total control of immigration. Many are pushing back against the Century Initiative. Quebec is next they will likely hold a referendum in two years. Carney best take notes and listen to what those that elected him.
