Sorry how does this work exactly ?
are you saying "young girls with conventionally attractive bodies" don't work as indys?
I guess it takes time to understand the mechanics of the business so young ones might prefer agencies to deal with all the other stuff. Once they get experience (and get older), they might go the indie route

I’m saying that, generally, independent providers tend to be older and have a wider variety of body types compared to those types of girls. I didn’t say there aren’t any young, slim independent providers, but overall, we tend to be more in our late 20s, 30s, and even 40s.
True. I ain't gonna lie, i had my eyes on some indies for a while but the 600 or 800/h hourly fee is a big factor for me as a modest middle class guy. Its a "think twice" and not even a "will it be a nice meeting or not". It could be a good time and still 800 does a much bigger hole in a budget than a 300... Its just maths.

I guess its the same school of toughts of going to a restaurant. I may go to a fancy restaurant and pay 100$ a meal. It may be very good. Yet i would had go to my local "rotisserie" and pay 20$ for fried chicken and i would still apreciate that meal as much. Sorry for the analogy. Women are not food. But its just to show a point in a "tell me like im 5" style.

Sometimes i do book higher end indies. I currently have a few on my wish to meet list. But when i see someone pop on an agency website at 300 or less that starstruck me... Yes ill admit my "priorities" change.

Its my situation. I saw 6 providers in 2026. Meeting a 800$ indy does not equal for me "just skipping a week" or booking 3h instead of 4/5 lol

Many think like this but very few say it loud :)
Pushback I've seen from indies is that they provide better service/time/experience etc.
But like you say - most people want to pay premium only once in a while and agency girls do fill a need.
Catch 22 is indies get less traffic so they need to keep increasing rates, which in turn reduces volume further which leads again to rate hikes and the cycle continues.

None of us know what will happen in the wake of the shutdowns of XO and Euphoria. I do think it's possible that this time of turmoil will pass and everything will return to normal for agencies.

But I think it's equally possible that there will be a major change in the industry, namely, that an alliance of the police, the government, the media and the abolitionists (esp. CLES and anti-prostitution feminists) will be able to shut down the agency part of the industry. At a minimum, the practice of using nice, conveniently located apartments/condos in upscale buildings seems doomed. The opponents of prostitution just won't tolerate it anymore. There may be some agencies that survive. But surviving might mean going back to the old ways of doing business i.e., smaller agencies with fewer girls, outcalls only and operators who are much more discreet.

As I have already noted, we could also see a complete shutdown of the agency model of business. The current hysteria is driven mainly by a perception that the agency way of doing business is inherently exploitative (this word gets used often by opponents). The propaganda is relentless: agencies are no better than "pimps"; they recruit and hire underage girls; their clients are violent; agency girls are forced to do things they don't want to do. Of course, you can find examples of all those problems, but the public perception is now that those problems are very common problems of agencies and the only way to solve them is to stamp out the agency model of business.

So is this the end of the prostitution business in Montreal? No, of course not! It will live on and even flourish just like it does in many other places that have few or no escort agencies, for example, most of the USA and France. But prostitution will only be allowed for independent escorts.

The "Nordic" style prostitution law in Canada is already set up perfectly to allow and even encourage the indy model because, it is perfectly legal for a woman to take money in exchange for sex but it is not legal for a guy to give money in exchange for sex. The stupidity and hypocrisy of such a law is obvious but it suits almost everyone (except men) perfectly.

The media, the police, the government, the public and the feminists can say: "See, we stamped out prostitution but we fully support prostitutes. We only want to criminalize evil men and not the poor women they are exploiting!"

Wait a minute! Doesn't criminalizing the clients of prostitutes make it much harder and more dangerous for many indy prostitutes to do business?

"Of course it does! But who gives a sh*t? We hate agencies and we just wanted to get rid of them. We don't really care about allowing women to make their own decisions in life. We want to control them and give them limited options. You can work as a prostitute but only under the precise conditions that we will allow."

OK, got it.
A well written piece and covers all aspects .

I'm slightly higher volume than you but not by much; I've never spent more than $1200 on a single encounter, the difference has always just been if it's going to be 1h, 2h, or 3h.

That is two already. For the agencies with an incall fixed location operation maybe time to rethink your business model.

Of course they keep customer/client details, just like when you shop on Amazon! The girls report back to the booker/owner. When I was calling Asservissante alot, Martin recognized my voice and her girls reported me back to Martin about me. Same thing with Goodgirls. I suppose the list is used to blacklist bad customers

I think also that like in any career, youth and relative inexperience paired with the challenges of being an entrepreneur which an Indy is, make the agency path more appealing to younger ladies. They get to build a customer base, a reputation and gain experience without the hassle. And then there's the agency's reputation that also helps the ladies get established better than a leolist post...

The Montreal police service (SPVM) is adding 15 new resources to its sexual exploitation unit starting next week, bringing its existing team of personnel of nearly 50 investigators into an expanded effort to combat sexual exploitation.

Soon there will be more police than sex worker
