Hello Gentlemen,
Centaurus. I need your help. I've been looking for the...
"Nobody 's talking about Georgia in here.... Why?" thread, and I can't find it. I'm pretty darn good at finding threads, and of course you and Octavian would consider that matter far too important to ever delete such a thread, so I guess I'm just missing it. None of the keywords like..."GEORGIA"..."RUSSIAN INVASION"..."DEATH AND DESTRUCTION"...are bringing it up.
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2014/...s-feeble-response-to-Russia-Georgia-conflict#
Surely you remember this tragedy in 2008. Russia moved in non-peacekeeping units, the Georgians counterattacked, Russia sent in army and airborne troops. G.W. Bush reacted by sticking his thumb up his butt, then:
"Bush didn't lead an alliance of the willing to isolate Russia, undermine its economy, mine the Black Sea, provide defense guarantees and rush American military supplies to Tblisi. Instead, Dubya simply denounced Moscow's reaction using much the same language President Obama is deploying now."
Centaurus I know such a principled guy like you was absolutely outraged in 2008 with G. W. Bush in the same way you are disgusted with Obama and surely you felt like:
"The credibilities and honors of the US and Great Britain are on the line. They put their legal signatures on a piece of paper pledging they will uphold the territorial integrity of Ukraine in case it gives up its nukes. The stability of the entire world for centuries to come is at stake..."
"How would the current leaders of the US and Great Britain react?. Will they save the world or destroy it?. I know exactly what Reagan and Thatcher in the 80's would have done. Not so sure about the current 'leaders'." - CENTAURUS!
So I know you will help me find where you and Octavian were blasting Bush and Republican Conservatives for exactly the same mistakes in policy and lack of response that in your view put the stability and destiny of the world on the line.
Thanks for your help Centaurus. I know you will come through with your integrity on the line. You rock bud. :thumb:
Are the ethnic minorities, with their different cultural way of seeing women and which represent a huge part of the Democrats voters, are ready to elect a woman as Président of the USA ?
If you think your statement accurately reflects this voting block then it's more about your view than theirs.
That said Hilary will never be elected President of the United States. Most of her support comes from the fact that she is married to a rather charismatic and popular ex-President.
It's funny then that even a CNN poll of Republicans showed 25% were saying they would either definitely vote for Hillary or were seriously considering it. Since over 90% of Republicans at this point before the 2012 election were adamant in not voting for Obama even 25% for Hillary now is a huge opening comparatively.
Overall Hillary has rated extremely strongly in performance ratings, unless one is a Fox News devotee. In most definable performance areas she has rated strongly among nearly every demographic, and even some Republicans have given her quite a bit of credit.
I think you misunderstand the Slavic mind. They're not going to have a vote and peacefully subject themselves to the consequences of the election results. That's not going to happen.
I agree here. Bitter feelings run too deep in the whole situation for a vote to resolve the situation peacefully.
Hillary will be the 45th President of the United States.
I have to agree that Christie has shown a major crack with the Bridge Gate episode that will haunt him. It's only a question of how much. At this point only Christie and Rubio come to mind versus Hillary, and I wouldn't give them anything but a weak chance unless a lot changes.
Cheers,
