I don't know if it means much. There's only 2 minutes difference between the highest and lowest average watching time. Maybe people down south are more laid back and have 2 extra minutes every day to watch porn. And those statistics only compare users of the website. It does not say what proportion of the populations watches or doesn't watch porn.
There are not a lot of Catholics in the bible belt. It is mostly Protestant denominations. In the USA most of the Catholics were European immigrants who tended to settle in the cities. There are enormous Italian and Irish immigrant populations in New York City and Boston and surrounding areas. In the Bible Belt there are more bluebloods.

EB is quite right. The "Bible Belt" (Protestant) is largely the Old South below the Ohio River and Mason Dixon Line and east of Texas. It is a huge region dominated by Evangelical Christians. The region on the map in blue, discounting the western U.S., where Catholics are least illustrates that almost perfectly.
I have no idea where the "blue bloods" reference relates to the facts since the Bible Belt is strongest among rural areas, farmers, and generally those often negatively referred to as "Red Necks" (poor and ignorant).
Still, Catholics go well beyond the old large cities of the northeast. Spanish, French, Polish, Portuguese, Latinos, Filipinos, and many other ethnic groups, as well as the Irish and Italians, spread their influence well beyond as you can see in the darker red areas.
That's also besides the fact that American Catholics whose generations have been in the U.S. beyond the first immigrants tend to apply a more independent brand of Catholicism seeing the Pope as leader but not so often accepting Catholic doctrine as directed. As the article given by Fred shows, "This is because folks are taught that they will suffer eternal torment in hell if they don't claim to "believe" in the dogmas like "God is trustworthy" and "Jesus died for my sins" Evangelicals are by definition committed to obeying doctrine as precisely outlined. Hence the greater mental repression ironically generates the need for greater sexual...RELEASE!
When you are continually told you are going to hell for fornication or worse...isn't the safest (but not excusable) outlet for lust porn.
I'm not surprised at all. Haven't we seen where so many holier-than-thou Protestant ministers have had affairs, sometimes homosexual ones.

That is the reputation which is exaggerated due to the publicity and the shock of the extreme hypocrisy with priestly vows. However, it's far from a monopoly by priests. Take Oral Roberts (Evangelical) knowingly hiring pedophiles, sports teams protecting and covering up for them, etc, etc, etc.

A few years ago I had to use an internet cafe to send an e-mail. There were 15-20 Mormon kids in there maybe about 16-18 years old. They wore white shirts and had badges with their name on it and the tittle elder. I think they were sent to preach in the streets of Montreal. yet, these kids were surfing porn.

Very interesting blog. I did not know that such stats were publicly available. It is surprising to see that the most popular actress in the US is MILF Lisa Ann. I have always assumed that guys were more into teens. But, this still might be the case. It would be interesting to aggregate the number of views of teen porn stars videos and compare them with the MILF porn stars numbers.
