Gros mercis a Yzabelle pour avoir parrainé (marrainé?!?) cette soirée et nous avoir tous assemblés pour un beau avant-noël...
And here I was thinking I'd be out of there by midnight or so, but eventually stayed until close to closing time (sorry to "the BoyZ" for failing AGAIN

to join them at their favorite bar. Guess I enjoyed myself too much...)
Here's some of my overall impressions:
(1) I'd spotted Kiki not long after I'd got there (mrrrrrr-ROW-rrrr

) and wanted to smother her all to myself, but alas she'd left before I could circumnavigate my way around the deluge of people. *sniff!!* it's gonna be a blue, blue xmas for me this year...

(2) Just after midnight, there were these bloody 6-foot-tall AMAZONS (one blonde, one dark-haired) that walked from the bar to the elevator...Got a quick glimpse at first and was knocked over by their provocative attire...Took another look and got thrown for a loop again when I saw their, shall we say, quite masculine jawline

...
So I walked over and told them to go meet Ziggy over at Thursday's
(3) I was pleasantly entertained at the sight of a few members whose frisk-o-meter had to be on overdrive that night, helplessly pawing and puckering with almost fevered abandon. It got to the point I was this close to using a firehose on a few of these 'matous' in heat.
(4) Ahhh, I have decided to bestow upon my faithful sidekick WideOpen the following catchphrase: "from thought to deed, at mach speed!!" I had made an innocent remark to him, that I would not mind meeting one of the evening's ladies (the famous K.I.M.) whilst waving my hand in a non-specific way towards a rather large crowd (I'd said: "je voudrais bien la rencontrer"). A few minutes later engaged in another conversation with others, I have WideOpen prodding along a bewildered Jasmine\Mariann towards me...I was very amused at this comedy of errors, but I was certainly not going to refuse to discuss with such a charming and, very smart young woman...The next time I came across WideOpen, I explained I'd actually pointed towards K.I.M. earlier. I should have known better, right? Back to chatting with others I suddenly see WO bringing K.I.M. towards me...
LOL, I think next time I'll mention in front of him I'd like to meet the entire Alouettes cheerleading squad in skimpy bikinis
And those are the standouts in my case. I'll add this as well, it's SORT OF board-related: the next day on sunday, I checked some old emails and headed for Place Bonaventure when I was reminded there was a collectibles expo that day. Lots of pop culture stuff to see, and I even chanced upon the previously-mentioned WideOpen who was also there on his own (so there is your board connection

), but what might be of some interest to some, were the two Hollywood actors present that day: one was Kane Hodder, known as the stuntman who played the infamous JASON from the Friday The 13TH series (didn't talk to him at all, but he's a BIG sonofagun!!)
My real center of interest was the other man, one Richard Hatch also known as the original Apollo from Battlestar Galactica series (1970's), and as the Vice-President Derek somethin' somethin' from the more recent version of that series...I was in geek heaven!!
(geekGASM!!!) I actually introduced myself by saying: "I love you, Richard Hatch!!"

Oddly enough he didn't run away

I got to talk to him about his '70s blowdried hair, politics in BSG, his rejected bid to revamp BSG before the one that was actually broadcast, some Hollywood gossip and how he and Dirk Benedict were hounddogs back in the day
A fun ending to an eventful weekend...
Thanks for reading folks...
