Victories by Democrats in the mid-term elections are essential for the country to start to course correct from the ravages of trump and MAGA. However, that alone will not stop this maniac. No legislation will get passed because whatever republicans don't filibuster in the Senate, trump will veto. Dems will conduct congressional hearings but trump will ignore the findings. Democracy and the Constitution will be severely tested. His corrupt Attorney General will not investigate anybody except trump's enemies. He will be impeached by the House but not convicted by the Senate. Unfortunately, it's more of the same madness until both trumpism/MAGA and this craven mutated republican party are soundly defeated and in the dustbin of history.
