With all the chatter now about Caulfield scoring 50 goals, you may wonder who is the last Montreal Canadiens player to score 50. The answer is Stéphane Richer who did it twice for the Habs in the 1987-88 and 1989-90 seasons:

In addition, Caulfield is one goal behind Nathan McKinnon for the NHL lead in goals. The last Canadiens player to lead the NHL in goals was Guy Lafleur with 60 in 1977-78:
