On her first day at the agency, they sent her a guy to beat her up and 'break' her so she would be afraid to refuse services she didn't want to do. She was regularly beat up and not helped at all.
I think that even though some clients were just asking for what they thought was okay, it was still well over her boundaries. She was just too afraid to refuse.
She did say she didn't have nice clients. At some point there was a doctor (she said the first syllables and corrected herself to say a man ...) whose kink was to hurt women ...
For the breaking part it's not exactly what she described. The whole intention began when she found a SD. He was nice, treated her well, gave her lot of money. And most importantly: no sexual exchange of service for all of that.
Then she was brought to the agency, told and repeated the same.
The breaking part came on her first day of work and it's more like to have sex with her so she cross the line that she didn't want to cross.
It's a very nasty coercion tactics as it's "breaking" your defense and you tell yourself the rest is "fine" as your are broken.
