Agency girls versus Indy girls?

I mean... I dont agree that its not where you work that makes you hotter. There's a set of standards at agencies that just dont exist in the indy space. Simply because even I could become an indy if I wanted to lol. There's no barriers to entry.

Obviously some indys are dimes and not all agency girls are stunning. And a 10 for me may be a 2 for someone else. Im not taking individual shots at advertisers on merb. This is my impression and personal taste and as I said in previous post, that point is debatable.

I've been offered to work for agencies 3 times. I'd rather be an indy for many reasons.

Fair question,

Being able to and being successful at it are 2 different things. I could probably write a book, anyone can, but would I be successful at it?

Anyone can become an independent companion but not everyone will last, being hired by an agency isn’t as hard as it used to be because, as mentioned many times on this board, newcomers are rare these days

It's not that easy. There are actually many barriers to being a successful independent companion, there are many challenges to overcome.. In order to be successful you have to :

-take care of your physical appearance and look good
-provide services the clientele wants
-know how to present yourself to clients and how to win their hearts
-deal with difficult people really often & handle different types of violence
-know how to do business and branding
-have a good sense of aesthetics
-constantly adapt to changes related to platforms and social media
-understand your client's psychology
-do market research
-network to access certain resources like incalls
-constantly advertise
-renew your image all the time

- girls on average more attractive than the average indy (debatable, but a lot of girls turned away by agencies will go indy)

I'd have my niche its a joke but touching on the reality of the indy scene (for me) I dont think all indys are successful, but im sure a lot of them have their niche clients.

I read the first post like a normal person would and replied based on the general ideas in the replies. Many people have brought relevant points but I was answering to OP since he asked and I wanted to give my opinion (cause I like to give my unsolicited opinion on merb)

Not all indies are successful, that's the whole point. And you thinking you'd have a niche and be able to take clients shows that you may not understand the industry as much as you think you do.

Would you be appealing to male clients and would you be willing to have sex with men, do dfk, bbbj, cimsw etc with them and provide what male escorts need to provide with men? Would you have the skill to talk to them and create connections with them, even if they're not people you would normally hang out with? I want to clarify that I'm mentioning male clients because regardless of gender, the vast majority of clients are going to be men. Male escorts who cater to women don't really get clients lol or maybe they get one every 3 months..

Maybe someone can make an ad on leolist and get a few clients but they won't be successful unless they learn a lot of things.. they also risk having their reputation soiled. I no longer get any inquiries from people who haven't looked at all my ads and did a ton of research about me. It's just not as easy as you think it is anymore.

Unlike Torycats, my recent and memorable experiences have been with independents. And this has been consistent for me for at least 2-3 years. Agency quality has taken a significant downturn ever since things opened back up after the pandemic. Vast majority of my amazing experiences before 2020 were with agency girls, no matter the agency.

I did a quick weekend trip a few weeks ago and booked one agency lady. As soon as I laid eyes on her, I immediately knew I didn't make a good choice. It immediately occurred to me why most of her pics were from behind. On top of that, she never threw her gum away the entire time and was healthily late. The indies on the trip were nothing but stellar. So yeah, indies are way more expensive, but I'm gonna die one day. I'll gladly pay the extra and be electrically attracted to who I'm spending time with and have amazing service than save a buck for someone who really does nothing for me.

It can’t be easy establishing a clientele let alone holding on to regulars.
On the other side of the coin, finding a lady that you have a connection with and can actually call a friend is even more rare.
That is why when you find this kind of connection you are extremely lucky on both sides.

The truth is that the expectations are different. When I worked at MP I had a completely different clientele with completely different needs. When I charged agency rates as an indy, I mostly got clients who prefer agencies and make an exception if someone charges lower. Compared to the clients I have now, these men wanted something very different. I have more clients and better and longer bookings.. But overall, I don't think it's useful to pit agency workers against indies.. We all have something to offer. Not everyone is capable of being an indy so they prefer working for an agency, and the same is true for a lot of indies who do a lot better managing their own business and working at their own pace.
