Had the desire to eat sushi on my last trip and ended up at K2 on Crescent Street. A little crowded, a little noisy, but overall a great spot for some all you eat sushi. Prices were great, service was good and the sushi was also good. I wouldn't go as far to say the food was excellent, but you go to this place for quantity over quality IMHO. When you walk in they hand you a tablet and you do all of your ordering via the device. Overall a good experience.

Nevermind the vegeterian plates, Indian cuisine is sure high on my list, my favorite dish is lamb korma. These last years my go to is Mysora.
Lamb Korma is one of my favorites as well. Last week I had Chicken Korma and there were cashew nuts in the sauce. My favorite entree sauces are Korma and Saag. However the Saag Paneer which is with cheese rather than meet is pretty good too. Another dish I had recently was Lamb Rogan Josh. It's very similar to Tikka Masala sauce to me.
Funny I did try it for the 1st time, not long ago. Delicious, but I'm just a sucker for anything lamb!
Original korma recipe ask for cashews but not all restaurant use them.
Yeah a lot of restaurants cheap out on the cashews but was pleased to have bitten into a few with my Chicken Korma last week. More often there are no cashews in the sauce.
Stash Cafe. Located in the Old Montreal area on Saint-Paul St W. Eastern European or more specifically Polish dishes. I've been there many times and never had a bad meal. One of my favorite restaurants in Montreal.

Dunn's Famous. I know it's been mentioned before in this thread. Food is ok, not incredible. But the thing I like about Dunn's is that they're open until 5am. The last time I was in Montreal, I was held at Customs for 3 1/2 hours. By the time I got to my hotel most restaurants were closed and I was starving. I was within walking distance of Dunn's and got a bite to eat there. Smoked meat plate.

Yeah, been there twice but it was 20 years ago, glad to hear its still good.
Checked their website, still open. They have recent reviews. 200 Saint-Paul St. W. in old Montreal. 514-845-6611. Great food.
I ate there probably 10 or more years ago and spoke to the owner at the time. Polish lady as I recall, in her 40s. I recall ordering the stuffed cabbage. The food was good, very filling and not light fare. Somewhat authentic Polish cuisine. Stash Cafe was featured on the Food Network on Rachel Ray program about great meals under $40 In Montreal.
