Just words, not actions. My father had the idea that Biden, if he was more effective as a leader which unfortunately he isn't, privately uniting all NATO members to grant Ukraine emergency expedited membership. This is what a true leader would have done, to fuck Putin and dare him to attack NATO. Instead, because of Afghanistan and other fiascos, Biden is seen as a weak, ineffective, liver-spotted senile non-leader, incapable of even getting through a press conference without behaving foolishly.

Bidet is a useless senile old man who has trouble putting a coherent sentence together.
The only reason he knows where Ukraine is, is because his son made a lot of money there illegally which they are still busy covering up.
NATO and the rest of his allies have zero confidence in the weak old fool, he proved that with Afghanistan.

Didn`t fool all of us.....but what was important for him was to fool the stock market, and thereby probably add a few more billions to his enormous hidden wealth.
probably this is another diversion to help his buddy out of the incriminating spotlight & hopefully help run the clock. Typical trump playbook maneuvers. If Donald loses everything then Putin won’t be able to get anything back that is owed.

That song is definitely on point although the Beatles song written over 50 years ago for a totally different reason somehow ironically resonates as they salute Ukrainian girls as the best of the then Soviet Empire.

On a different note, I read this excellent article in the Economist which postulates that Putin is harming himself and Russia with all possible outcomes:

Biden has balls to confront Putin. Trump bent over several times even ripping translator summaries. Europe is weak and again, USA has act as big brother and be at the forefront for democracy. God bless America, despite their shortcomings, god bless them.

I am as far from being a supporter of Russia as you can possibly get, but that doesn’t mean I will support a weak bumbling senile old fool like Bidet.
I have lived in refugee camps thanks to mother Russia, so no you do not know me at all.
Had you bothered to read post #2 you could have already known that.

Rebel-held regions ask Putin to recognise them as independent

Two separatist leaders from Ukraine have appealed to Vladimir Putin to recognise their "people's republics" as independent states.

Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People's Republic, and Leonid Pasechnik, leader of the Luhansk People's Republic, are reported to be in Moscow.
Their appeals have been shown by Russian state TV.

Putin told his security council it was necessary to consider the appeals.

"Our objective, the objective of our meeting today is to listen to colleagues and decide on our next steps in this area," Putin said.

If he agrees, it could lead to Moscow openly sending military forces into both regions, using the claim that it is intervening as an ally to protect them from Ukraine.

Yep usual ploy the Good Samaritan Russia is always ready to help down trodden friends in need of help lol.
They never invade or take over countries by military force they just lend a helping hand to friends and neighbours.
Wonder how many Ukrainian leaders will disappear after for extensive vacations in resorts in Siberia, the views are spectacular this time of year, and the entertainment is unique and very memorable

In 1968, when the Russians invaded Czechoslovakia to crush a rebellion, there was a famous bit of graffiti: "The Russians are staying until they find the person who invited them."

To be accurate, the invasion was by the Warsaw Pact countries of USSR, Hungary, Poland and Bulgaria, not by the Russians per se:
Alexander Dubcek survived the invasion and lived to be 71 year old, dying in a car crash in 1992:

And here we go.....

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered his Defense Ministry to send Russian troops into eastern Ukraine's two breakaway regions, according to a decree published early on Tuesday.

The Kremlin said Putin ordered the Russian forces to "maintain peace" in eastern Ukraine.

The decree did not specify when any such deployment would take place.

However, the move raises tensions, as Western leaders have warned Moscow could use a skirmish in the restive region as an excuse for a larger Russian attack.

Earlier Monday, Putin signed the decree stating Moscow now recognizes the "independence" of the self-proclaimed "Donetsk People's Republic" (DPR) and the "Luhansk People's Republic" (LPR).

So-called peacekeeping is a ploy, envoy adds

The US ambassador to the UN describes Russia's order to deploy "peacekeepers" in eastern Ukraine as "nonsense" - the same word used earlier by Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
"We know what they really are," she said.
Recognising Luhansk and Donetsk as independent is part of Russia's bid to create a pretext to further invade Ukraine, she said.
Linda Thomas-Greenfield's use of "further" refers to Russia's actions back in 2014, when it seized Crimea from Ukraine and backed a conflict in the eastern Donbas region.
