Was worried when Skinner let a goal in on the third shot but he pulled it off, nice save at the end of the second. The Oilers did well only allowing 15 shots on goal and played a well rounded game. Also glad it started at 8pm so I could be awake for the entire game.

I am not surprised either, as he made some honest comments that he really wanted to get a deal done to stay in North Carolina. He apparently likes it there. He is from Ottawa, but it's not unusual that the Canadian player and coach becomes expatriate. Better weather in North Carolina, and really good BBQ which is served with hush puppies.

Major news tonight about Canucks star Brock Boeser being kept out of tonight’s game 7 due to blood clotting issues. His entire playoffs is in doubt even if they end up beating the Oilers.

Agree...terrible news indeed....ils ont d'autres joueurs talentueux BUT without their star/player it won't b easy.....we should have a good/intense one.

I am guessing the Oilers have a point to prove and will win by a 4 goal margin. But I have been wrong with my picks most of the playoffs :)

Easy win only if their goalie stands up to the pressure of a do or die game. So far none of them has convinced me that they are able to bring their game to the next level. And whichever team wins, Dallas will crush them.

I totally agree with this. Edmonton has run their goalies confidence into the ground with the continual games of musical chairs. I think the pressure might be overwhelming on whichever of their goalies gets the call tonight. I presume Skinner, but he is up and down like a Yo-Yo and has suffered through benchings which have damaged him. His psyche is fragile and the pain and anguish of his most recent benching hasn't fully dissipated. He has been made to feel like his future depends on this game. It's easy to play well at home, but a game 7 on the road is a different animal. It may be too much for him. He is still a very young goalie. If he lets in some early goals, can he shut the door like Shesterkin did in Game 6 on the road for NYR? Is he ready to deliver a performance like that after his team goes down 3-1 in a hostile environment?

I expect a lot of roughing in the first game, but as the series continues, the roughing will slowly fade away because penalties will play a big part in this one!
Let’s see what the league will give the refs in terms of direction!

I have recently seen even rougher play at a NASCAR race, where the drivers (at least in pit row) aren't wearing helmets and throw punches that connect fist on face:
Is Ricky Stenhouse going to the penalty box for that one- yes- suspension coming!

Getting back to hockey, Florida is a team that plays VERY rough, but Rangers have a guy named Rempe who discourages these shenanigans.
