If all other circumstances are equal where you want to move in 15 years.
Ideally Scotland or Northern Europe. Realistically it will probably be Charlevoix though.
Lived in the same region of the US my entire life, couple of different states. Not looking to move any time soon, mainly due to the low cost of housing here and the low long-term interest rate I have locked in on my house. (under $1000 US per month for principal/interest/taxes. Having it paid off isn't exactly close but is on the distant horizon)
I'd love to move to the UK for retirement, but who knows if that will be possible immigration-wise and economically viable. It's my favorite place to visit. A small cottage somewhere remote like North Wales would be perfect and affordable by UK standards. Definitely not doing the move to Florida nonsense.

I'm from the U.S. and moved here last September... I'm currently working on a PR app and hope to stay, but I'm really not sure of my chances and it seems like it's getting harder and harder. Considering doing a PhD because I'd like to stay. We'll see....

Just two small sentences from an immigrant like me.
1. Somehow the immigration process is getting harder and harder only for very well prepared persons (work history, education) - absolutely no sence in this, but this is the new reallity.
2. I came in Montreal with a master degree and I restarted everything from 0 - college, bach, master. Knowing very well the education sustem here in Montreal just a friendly advise - here PhD is mostly for someone who considers to pursuit career as a university lecturer.
