Totally unsure - insertion of sig in thread

Hi,
Well I've searching up and down the board even in the FAQ for the way to automatically insert
a citation at the end of each thread I make.
Maybe I'm going blind or I'm speedreading but I can't find anything.
Could someone point me in the right direction?
