The Nova Scotia government has announced it's banning hiking, camping, fishing and use of vehicles such as ATVs in the woods due to an elevated wildfire risk.

Camping in campgrounds is still permitted, but trail systems through woods are off-limits under the new rules.

The rules are in place for provincial Crown land until Oct. 15 or until weather conditions allow them to be lifted.

The fine for violating the ban is $25,000

What do you think about this?
Do you think this is an appropriate response?
Do you think this is about control?

Here is my personal opinion:

I thought climate change was the main cause of the fires in Canada but banning human activities like hiking and fishing will prevent … wild fires?

So which is it: Climate change or human activity? And seriously, how does fishing start a forest fire?

Multiple people were caught STARTING fires - (most recent example is in LA) and many other places including Québec and Italy. (Drone footage was caught of people starting fires that ruined acres of land).

Again, IMO, this is about control and land grabs. They want to force people to stay confined in cities and discourage anyone from going off-grid or living independently in the woods. It’s the same agenda behind pushing green vehicles while trying to ban gas-powered cars.

I’m sorry, but someone please explain to me like I’m five: how is using child slaves to mine lithium for your EV batteries somehow better for the environment - especially when those same batteries, once they explode or degrade, putrefy the soil and take years to break down, leaving behind toxic waste?

Legacy media keeps telling everyone to trust the “sCiEnCe”: The same way hikers spread covid, they spread climate change lol.

Feel free to chime in. Healthy debate is always welcome.

Here is my take. A lot of the fires are being caused by human activity and it has been very dry. We have not had much rain in Canada and there are lots of forests in rural areas. I am always 100% against Paternalism but with governments actively increasing the population to make more money is also a direct culprit of more human interference. More humans = More human caused fires and more razing of forests for agriculture to produce more food for more humans.

They say that when a tiger tastes human flesh, it loses fear towards humans and may become a man-eater. Our local and federal governments have implemented all kind of bizarre restrictions during Covid pandemic. Now, the restrictions imposed on population have become their natural and sometimes the only response to any problem.

All part of the plan and won’t happen overnight. Pretty fkn dystopian times we’re living in.
Now I know why old farts back in my day were grumpy about the newer technology they didn’t understand.
About to get a Ted Kaczynski or Marvin Heemeyer shirt lmao.

The pandemic era demonstrated:

1. Canadians have no rights; they have privileges;.

2. These privileges can be revoked at anytime; for any "emergency" governments chose to declare.

3. Most Canadians will not object.
This is the biggest issue is the fact that Canadians never objected. Their compliance ensures restrictions continue. Covid mandates did not end till the truckers revolted. If it were not for them we would still be under covid mandates today.

I was at that trucker convoy in a truck (yes I also have my trucking licence hahaha) it was the most fun I’ve ever had. People prepared lunches for us, handed us $20, $50 bills. Got us drinks, supplies.

That picture of the guy with the Nazi sign / antics was a plant and infiltrated the protest (Turdeaus photographer snapped that pic) and then sent it to legacy media saying that there were Nazis at the convoy lmfao.

The convoy was the last time I truly felt proud to be Canadian. It was one of the rare moments where people from all walks of life came together, united for a common cause against dystopian or totalitarian rules. We were the ones who ignited a global movement that spread across the U.S. and Europe. The world looked to us for inspiration - but now? LOL

And we still got loyal Liberal voters calling the Freedom Convoy -> Freedumb Convoy. It boggles my mind that there are ppl that wanted the mandates.

Funny how so many go on strike for their worker rights - like those Canada Post goody two-shoes who already have everything they need and then some, yet still demand more. They can’t even deliver my damn parcels properly - just leave a “we missed you” slip every time without even trying.

But when it comes to fighting for basic human rights? That’s somehow “dumb” to them.
