This has always been my experience. I would add that youth adds to the insecurity. For me personally, I have become much more secure and comfortable with who I am as a person as I have got older and that translates to security and trust in relationships.

Since I went completely bald at 23, I must say I am proud of my perfectly round head. I have a good friend that shaved his head once and he had tons of bumps and craters (which made the bumps look larger). Made me thankful for the perfect sphere that rests upon the rest of me :-)
