    I agree that Canada wise Montréal has a rather good transportation infrastructure, multiple metro lines, bus, trains and now REM. I would say fashion or food wise and not only ... Just a reminder of Anthony Bourdain's quote: "Without Montreal, Canada would be hopeless." :p

    It's funny what you are saying because I have friends living in NYC but like not in Manhattan/in the island. When they say they go to the island it sounds like a trip to another country too! But for me I don't make a difference lol

    Yes those are nice places. I will add: René-Lévesque Park in the old Lachine and is a mini Montréal island! And most of the small area in Cap-Saint-Jacques on the West Island.
