Here's a testimony from someone who worked at XO and decided to go public with their own experience:

That’s insane!

So this confirms that there was mental, physical and financial abuse going on at XO.

Clementine clearly says that she was fined up to $100 for lateness, that she was beaten up and that bookers didn’t care even if she told them she wasn’t comfortable with the clients

Are the people still going to defend XO?

I wonder too why they don't move at least once a year since the volume of client is high and noticeable. It's not like they accumulate a lot of furniture.
In my opinion LE doesn't get involved, the landlords don't get involved, or the neighbors just don't care. I know personally that because I used to host from home, I'm hyper aware of discretion.
I guess you decided to believe the myth that all Indys are ethical :) are you comfortable funding the life style of her BF? Is that ethical? What about degenerate families that syphon money from their escort daughters? Is that ethical?
There's still power dynamic, you still have control over her pay check, she will give you whatever version of her story that makes you the most comfortable, you will never know the truth.... sorry to bust your pink bubble.
I have no boyfriend or children lol that's not even relevant bro

They don't literally mean life or death. There's a reason people use the term survivor in relation to rape, for instance, or abuse.

I've been thinking about this a lot since the news broke, and I can't get my head around what happened there. I mean, I can - it's not hard to comprehend - but I guess it just makes me really unhappy with the state of it all. It's awful and sad and should never be allowed to happen. I feel so bad for any underage girls who were not mature enough to make the right choices, or were perhaps forced into it in some way and were taken advantage of. Same for women who felt they had no way out - whether they did or didn't doesn't much matter if they were made to feel that way. This is a very vulnerable line of work, and we'd best remember that. I honestly have no idea how many of these women do it, and very often performed at a high level for hours on end. I, as a man, would not have been able. Women who were mistreated by clients... that pisses me off. Savages.

The owners of the agency... I suppose the logical side should have known better... and though I did not book often with XO, I never encountered any issues, and the women always seemed to be doing alright. I hope they were. I've always tried to make them feel at ease with the arrangement, and always told them to tell me if they weren't comfortable with something. So I somehow thought that overall the agency was run well, that it was at the very least staying out of trouble. While this isn't exactly a wake-up call, it's certainly a reminder of what's what. It disgusts me that I ever gave them money and contributed to their "success". I hope the owners are punished to the max.

I don't think this line of work should be stigmatized, and I don't think clients should be shamed. It's tough, though, and I don't think there's a reasonable chance of that changing in my lifetime, at least not on a large scale.

On a personal level, I am at least somewhat concerned that this situation with the police will widen, and they will start coming after clients based on the phone numbers and text messages they have. Who knows if they have hundreds or thousands? Or less. While I suspect they will not, given the past, I guess for the next several months there will be that little voice in the back of my head that wonders if I might get a phone call or a knock at the door. Perhaps unreasonable. But maybe something we should consider.

Much to think about. But I will never use an agency ever again, no matter how well it is supposedly run. Taking a long break... or maybe just stepping back for good from this hobby.

We all make mistakes. I've done a lot of stupid thing in my life and I've spent money on things I wish I hadn't. I don't think you should be worried about the police...

I agree that clients and sex workers should not be shamed. I just think people deserve to be well treated

On a lighter note.. give it 10-15 years... AI robots will be available and sex work will cease to exist.

Interesting takes here. I think it's not completely black and white.

This is a service industry. Making a client feel happy is good business and falls within the realm of professionalism. If a client is violent or disrespectful, having them ejected and banned similarly seems like it falls in the realm of good business and professionalism long term.

I go to a salon that rents chairs to stylists with a model that uses some penalties etc.
They rent chairs to good stylists and cover the facility, advertising, scheduling etc. In return, they take their cut. Fair trade, good thriving business, everybody is happy.

The fact that there are penalties for truancy and running late is not surprising, new or to me the real problem. Time is money - for everyone.

If a woman makes a commitment to be on the roster, the agency is budgeting an incall space or driver for her. If she cancels last minute and cannot prove an emergency, I don't think it's unreasonable to apply a penalty.

The draconian implementation, coercion, and severity in this case with xo is what is damning.
If that is industry standard, I'm appalled.

Any of the other top agencies following this thread that would chime in? There is a lot of implied and hearsay crimes being laid at your door.
We are forgetting this ain't just any service industry. If a married man goes to a salon to get a haircut, it's not grounds for divorce

I never it should be that. I just said there got to be consequences. Btw strippers are penalized for coming late and got to pay a much higher bar service fee. What penalty would you consider as acceptable for repeat cancellations?
They part ways; clean break. It's really as simple as that. At $80 cut per session, XO were easily clearing $20K a month per condo after rent. At some point, they stop seeing the girls (including minors) as people and only saw $$$.

They failed to classify the different sources of revenue and the risk associated with each of those revenue sources. Essentially, they didn't identify or care about the risk associated with revenue attributed from the incremental penalty/late fee. The incremental penalty/late fee isn't even their core revenue source yet it represents a large risk which they ignore leading them to coercive/blackmail behavior leading them to this outcome.

I always wondered if agencies condo are rented or part of their business model where they accumulate wealth to invest it / or use their primary business as funding for alternative investments.

I did a little research on this case and didn't find any property assets seizure by LE.
Because usually if there are assets proven to be linked to criminal activity, it can be permanently forfeited and then auctioned off or otherwise disposed of, with proceeds often going to the government or specific funds.

It leads to specific government ran auction where you could bid for properties and cars (for the most interesting ones) that belonged to these organizations.
It would be very stupid for them to do this in condo they owe. Wouldn't make financial sense to tie up capital when it takes less capital to expand the business by renting more condos (assuming there was more demand).

On a lighter note.. give it 10-15 years... AI robots will be available and sex work will cease to exist.
Westworld here I come.

The crazier part is the start as SBing to lure them, giving g her money and then drag her into the agency.

like i said earlier in the thread this happened to someone i know.. it was a massage parlor not xo agency. but that means it's a common tactic to recruit girls

It just reminds me the documentary Filthy rich: Epstein ...
Lured to "just" massage for a good amount of money. The rest is history ... Predators tactics and vulnerable and specific targets

Agressions a répétitions.
Ayoye
